Alabama's largest impoundment of 69,000 acres with more than 900 miles of shoreline. Guntersville Lake stretches 75 miles from Nickajack Dam to Guntersville Dam and is widely noted as an excellent bass lake and resort area.
Guntersville's fish habitat includes Milfoil and Hydrilla Weed beds from which big bass explode on topwater baits.
